The son of a residential home builder and the grandson of an architect, the love for design and its construction process was ingrained in founder Matt Moulis at an early age.  Matt worked for his father's company for more than a decade until receiving his Master's in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.  He worked for some of Chicago's most important corporate architecture firms before wanting to follow his true passion for residential design and construction.  After working for two of the Chicago area's prominent residential design/build firms, Matt decided to found Graphite and Hammer, based on his lifelong experience in the industry.  GHab is a design/build practice, specializing in single family homes, residential remodeling, and small commercial build-outs.  Matt lives in the Christ the King parish in Beverly, Chicago with his wife and five children
